This page shares the journey behind the creation of my business — a story rooted in personal experience, resilience, and a passion for sustainable living.

Like many, I’ve always loved having a beautifully scented home. At the time, I had two house cats and was determined to keep my space smelling fresh. I used everything from candles and wax melts to diffusers and sprays — anything that added a pleasant fragrance.

In 2016, I developed a persistent chest infection that lingered for nearly two years. After a two-week stay at Southampton General Hospital in April 2018, I was finally diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Upon returning home and resuming daily life, I quickly discovered that the cleaning and fragrance products I once loved now triggered uncontrollable coughing. Medical advice confirmed that due to lung damage and permanent scarring, I had become highly sensitive to many conventional products.

Initially, I accepted that I would have to give up these products — until a conversation with a friend during lockdown changed everything. After I shared my frustration, she suggested trying more natural alternatives. She even took the initiative to research options and found a supplier of natural ingredients.

We began by making small batches for personal use, and to our delight, they worked. Word quickly spread among family and friends, who were eager to try them — especially since it meant I could visit without discomfort. That’s when we realised there might be a gap in the market.

As we developed the business, I was determined to ensure our values were reflected in every aspect. Having grown up in a household that embraced the principles of “reduce, reuse, recycle,” I wanted to avoid the single-use plastics and excessive packaging so common in home fragrance products. Today, every item we sell is either reusable, recyclable, or biodegradable — and each product description explains how.
